Final Piece- The Fashion Industry…The Flip Side

Progress Gallery: Sewing

    Progress Gallery

Principle of Focus: My principle of focus is contrast of textures , with the contrast in media

Media/Materials: I will use a sewing machine, fabric, and outside resources/resources

Process: I will used mixed media to execute my design, including other resources other than fabric.

How can I represent the irrationality of the fashion industry through clothes?

    Gabriela Hearst:

Gabriela Hearst's attention to detail and cohesive looks stood out to me the most. Each collection that she has released is both sustainable and versatile, as well as incredibly wearable. In the photo, you can see that she includes all sorts of patterns in her collections, while collectively creating interesting looks.

The elements of art and principle that stand out to me the most are definitely the texture within the pieces as well as the pattern of movement in the collections. All while creating sustainable presentations, Hearst manages to incorporate different fabrics and textures as well as patterns to bring together a collection. In other words, Hearst makes a collection as one.
